Not only are kitchens the heart of the home, but a good kitchen design impacts your daily use through both form and function.
One of the first things our client mentioned to us when we started this project was that they never used this space in their kitchen. Their dining space, which they used often when they had family over, was separated from the kitchen with a wall in-between and was where they would often end up.
To create a seating area in the kitchen for their family of three, Deb drew up a banquette design. In doing this, DPD was able to open up the space and bring in more seating through a little corner dining nook with built-in seating.
Even if you add more things to a space, by creating a specific use for an area, you can make it feel larger.
KIND WORDS FROM BONNIE:
“I can’t even tell you how much I love the space. I appreciate the work you put into it, and now we use the space all of the time.”
