Deb has 35+ years of experience designing residential and commercial interiors to help you furnish, remodel, or build your dream space. As the founder and owner of Debra Poppen Designs, her creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit have fueled her passion for the design industry. Deb received her formal education in interior design from Kendall College of Art and Design and has been designing interiors in the greater Grand Rapids area and beyond ever since.

A native of the Grand Rapids area, she draws inspiration from the beautiful rivers and lakes that weave throughout and around the city. It is no coincidence that she taps into the love of waterways in many of her lakefront cottage remodels.

Deb was raised in a family that deeply values hard work and creativity. Interest in interiors began at a young age when she was inspired by her father, who was a small business owner and custom home builder as evidenced by the many homes designed and built in West Michigan. This helped her develop a strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship and a commitment to creating something exceptional.
