Perched high above Lake Michigan, our latest project redefined lakeside living for a cherished client's summer retreat. Seeking to refresh the exterior color palette and illuminate the home with contemporary lighting, our designer, Deb, curated a symphony of colors and fixtures that seamlessly blend sophistication with the timeless allure of nature. The exterior change began by painting the siding a lighter color, enveloping the residence in a comforting embrace. Infusing a touch of lakeside whimsy, mid-tone blue graces the garage and entryways, capturing the essence of tranquility. Our color palette includes a warm stone gray for the siding, a sunlit white for trim, and a rich, cool blue for doors—an invitation to subtle complexity. The crowning jewels of this transformation are the modern lantern-style fixtures. Black exteriors, beveled glass, and stainless steel candles converge in a contemporary interpretation of a classic design, casting a refined glow that harmonizes with the lakeside setting.
